TUBACEX has reached a significant milestone with its new manufacturing plant in Abu Dhabi, securing the highly regarded API Spec Q1 certification from the API – American Petroleum Institute. This achievement establishes the Abu Dhabi facility as the second Tubacex site worldwide to attain this prestigious quality management certification, highlighting the company’s commitment to excellence in the gas sector.
The certification paves the way for the facility, strategically located in the KEZAD industrial zone, to commence operations and sales. The plant will specialize in manufacturing and finishing tubular products, including machining, threading, and coating. This development is a critical step in fulfilling Tubacex’s contract with ADNOC, providing high-performance tubular solutions for gas extraction and production, and solidifying the company’s role as a key supplier in the Middle East.
The API Q1 certification was officially presented at ADIPEC 2024 by Shawn adams, Vice President of Global Industry Services at API. Tubacex CEO, Jesús Esmorís, described the achievement as a validation of the company’s commitment to quality and reliability. “This certification expands our ability to deliver comprehensive solutions and positions us to meet ADNOC’s ambitious production goals with unparalleled quality,” Esmorís stated.
During ADIPEC, Tubacex also unveiled its Sentinel® Prime technology, now integrated into the company’s By Your Side OCTG service platform. This innovation offers a 360º service model, from manufacturing and engineering to logistics and operational support, ensuring optimal performance and reliability throughout complex energy projects.
