SAIPEM CERES Project in Australia – A landmark in modular construction

CERES involved the fabrication and delivery of 110 Process and Piperack modules, weighing approximately 64,000 MT, across 23 voyages to the Burrup Peninsula, Australia, for the country’s largest ammonia-urea manufacturing facility. At 2.3 MTPA, CERES is the world’s first highly modularised world-scale ammonia-urea plant.

Saipem’s sub-contractor L&T in India said CERES is a testament to the strength of Indian engineering, advanced modular fabrication and disciplined execution, powered by the dedication of thousands of people and delivered with 37 million safe workhours, once again demonstrating the company’s capability to deliver complex modular projects to global clients while meeting stringent quality, safety and execution requirements
