              Dear NASEEM
              We faced with this problem and the cleaning of scrapper arm was very difficult. An idea from one of our engineering department expert ,we used a nano-paint to cover part of the scraper arm. After a while, the part was checked that the dust was very low and the lumps were easily removed.

                Dear friend
                In addition to the comments mentioned by friends:
                please be inform that during granulation washing time. the circulated urea solution must be diluted with injection of steam condensate and bring the concentration near 75%. Second action is reducing the load of plant during granulation washing time when the activity take a long time.

                  we had faced like this situation during first start up a new stamicarbon plant,during start up we could’nt control the stripper level because a nut was on the seat of control valve .we s/d the plant and check the inside of the control valve and we saw the damage nut by stem forcing ‘

                    you mean that urea solution in synthesis behave like a acidic solution and the PH is less than 7.
                    as we know the ratio of N/C in syn is about 3 or more. that means there is an extra ammonia in the syn and the solution will be basis .
                    that is true or not?.

                      Dear nasseemce
                      In priiling tower the following item can increase the dust formation:
                      1) the ammount of water content in the product. Higher water leads higher dust.
                      2) the temprature of the product. Higher temp leads higher dust.
                      3) speed of bucket in the top of prilling tower. Higher speed leads higher dust.
                      4) the amount of Uf injected to urea melt solution. Lower UF injection leads higher dust.
                      5) the high temprature diffrent between the storage temp. And product temp. Higher delta T leads more dust.
                      6) the malfunctioning of the fluidized bed cooler.
                      7) the hight of the pile of urea inside the storage.

                          can we use steam or steam condensate for removing any carbamate or urea behind the liner and immediately flush with purge gas like nitrogen .

                            Dear Friends
                            I would like to add a few items that have an influence on the Stripper efficiency as follows:
                            1)Improper installation of stripper ferrules and their sheet holder .
                            2)Non-adjustable Stripper Shell Pressure(steam pressure and it’s Temperature)
                            3)non-uniform distribution of Urea solution all over the tubes .
                            4)High capacity of the plant.
                            5)Chocking and blockage in some of the holes of stripper ferrules by teflon or by corrosion material ( metal oxides )
                            6)Increasing of the diameter of the some holes of stripper’s ferrules due to corrosion and erosion.
                            7)Improper installation of teflon seal of the stripper’s ferrules.
                            8)Improper installation of verticality of the stripper.
                            9)Inappropriate Shell Stripper Level.(steam condensate)
                            10)Accumulation of more inert gas in the shell side.
                            11)Non-adjustable and control in Stripper level.(process side)
                            12) Increasing the amount of water in the synthesis of the plant (more H/C).
                            13)non-uniform distribution of the CO2 gas all over the tubes.
                            14)Increasing of the synthesis pressure.
                            15))Non-adjustable flow and Temperature of the CO2 to the stripper.
                            16)Increasing the amount of N/C ratio.
                            17)Improper reaction in the reactor and more carbamate to the stripper.
                            therefore some of the above items are process deviation and some of them are mechanical deviation. As Mr Mark and other friend’s mentioned before please check all process items in first and then you must shut down the plant and check all mechanical items one by one.
