On 15 November 2013 a trade reception for Dutch and Chinese companies on the occasion of the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Mark Rutte, accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Ms. Lilianne Ploumen paid an official visit to China on 15 and 16 November, leading a trade delegation of 14 Dutch CEOs with the aim to further strengthen diplomatic and economies ties between the Netherlands and China.

China offers excellent opportunities for Dutch companies, especially in agriculture, water, and the creative and high-tech industries. Six contracts, ranging from project contracts to general cooperation, were signed between Dutch and Chinese companies during the trade reception and witnessed by Prime Minister Rutte, Ms Ploumen and the Ambassador of the Netherlands to China, Mr. Aart Jacobi.

One of the contracts was signed between Hofung Technology and Jiangnan Environmental Protection, a leading company in environmental technologies, for cooperation and joint marketing and engineering design for projects in related fields and industries in China.
