In March of 2022, the first Green Granulation licensed urea granulation plant in Africa was started up successfully as on-spec granular urea was produced in the Indorama 1000 MTPD Urea Finishing Unit located in Port Harcourt Nigeria at first operation. The plant has been stably running continuously since and a little over a month after first operation, the plant was officially accepted during a ceremony attended by representatives of all involved parties.

Green Granulation licensed its proprietary Optimized Fluidized Bed Dynamics process and Double Temperature Scrubbing technology for this project and further supplied PDP design services, on-site technical support and proprietary equipment to the end-user, Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited, through CNCEC Hualu Engineering company, who act as the main E+P contractor of the project.
