        Dear friends,

What would be the price of training simulator for:

        1. Urea plant with Yokogawa DCS

        2. Ammonia plant with Honeywell DCS and APC

        I need only rough figures.

        Best regards,

        Janusz

Mark, which training simulator would you suggest? I have been extensively researching them. Could you suggest a few, along with their costs and benefits? Our plant is stamicarbon design. High pressure section: co2 stripper, reactor, condenser, scrubber. Our finished product are prills from prill tower. 1500 tons a day in high pressure section.

            Good question

            Some suggestions:
            1. talk with your colleagues and discuss together cases and experiences
            2. join round table discussions on UreaKnowHow.com
            3. join the Asian Nitrogen & Syngas Conference in October this year
            4. Consider to buy a training simulator
            5. who has other suggestions ?

Also our 5-Day Training Program contains several sessions discussing control room actions.

Mark, I was really just asking what to do next. What can I do or read to help with board training. I can run wet and dry bay but I feel I need more training for the board. We call dry bay the crystalization/prilling section and wet bay the synthesis section, we call the board the computers in the control room where adjustments to the process are made.

Hi everyone. I have been a chemical operator for about eleven months now and I am trying to learn everything I can about the process, every little detail or I’m just not satisfied. I know all of the process flows but where do I go now? Any and all advice will be helpful, especially on how to train to run the board and info on the CO2 compressor labyrinth seals. Thanks all.
