This is one of the key challenges addressed by 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐄, a CETPartnership initiative under the Horizon Europe programme coordinated by CASALE, dedicated to developing innovative solutions for hydrogen transport and storage through green ammonia.

As demand for low-carbon ammonia continues to grow – not only for fertilizer production, but also as a hydrogen carrier and a potential maritime fuel – the development of scalable and sustainable technologies becomes increasingly important.

Through an integrated and decentralized approach, AMAZE aims to:
✔️ Enable distributed production of green ammonia from renewable energy sources through an innovative approach of synthesizing and cracking ammonia
✔️ Develop advanced catalytic ammonia cracking technologies for efficient hydrogen recovery
✔️ Demonstrate ammonia as a flexible and practical energy carrier in the industrial conditions
✔️ Directly engage end-users for effective and cost driven acceleration of technology uptake

The consortium brings together the leading European and US industrial and academic partners, including CASALE, Scuola universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana (SUPSI), OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, Clariant, Kavala Solutions Foreign Branch, Qemetica, Cracow University of Technology, Hysytech S.r.l., Università degli Studi di Messina, Université catholique de Louvain, Power-to-X Analytics, and Universidad de Valladolid.

🌐 The new website will serve as the central hub for project news, technical developments, and future results.
