BUNGARTZ

Mastering difficult and complex pumping tasks around the world

BUNGARTZ CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS – from the submerged pump and magnet-coupled chemical pumps to horizontal slurry pumps – master difficult and complex pumping tasks around the world, and are virtually cavitation-free and self-ventilating. Amongst other things, they are resistant to solids, dry-running, self-regulating, wear-resistant, low-maintenance, and have a high level of intrinsic safety. Designed for the application, they are suitable for boiling, polymerising, crystallising and toxic media in all Atex zones.

CHALLENGE.

Bungartz considers itself a supplier of pumping systems and solutions. Nowadays, difficult and complex feed tasks appear in nearly all branches of the chemical and petrochemical industry, in power plant technology and in environmental protection. Here innovative, tailor-made and robust solutions are in demand. The Bungartz special centrifugal pumps for extreme operations undertake those jobs, which are too demanding for others. They are applied to problems which defeat standard pumps.

Bungartz pumps solve problems when dealing with:

  • shaft seals
  • poor feed conditions
  • challenging pumping media
  • gas containing liquids
  • liquids close to boiling point
  • corrosive and / or abrasive pumping media
  • sophisticated plant technology

UREA / AN EVAPORATION PLANT.

Advantages of the Bungartz V-AN pump (special for UREA applications):

  • The Pump works cavitation-free (NPSHr= <0,1m) and can operate with small suction heads in front of the pump (also if the intake vessel is under vacuum pressure).
  • Due to this advantage, Urea Plants can be design with smaller suction heads, smaller suction values and shorter suction pipe length in front of the pump.
  • As a result, the Investment costs can be reduced for new plant projects due to lower installed vacuum intake tanks.
  • Depending on the shorter suction pipe length, the Urea product has a lesser residence time in the piping itself, which guide to a less Biuret production during pumping of the media. The urea quality rise up and is suitable for Diesel Motor applications (DEF/AdBlue).
  • Due to the unique Design of the pump, it is able to operate in a self-regulating manner. No Regulation of the process is require by using of Frequency converters or check valves. Handy operation of the pump also for difficult applications is possible.
  • The pump type V-AN is able to run dry and it is self-venting. During operation the pump can handle gas bubbles and it is venting by itself during pump operation (no shut off is required for venting the pump).
  • No difficult and mechanical seal (for example double mechanical seal) is required for the pump to seal against vacuum applications. Only simple shaft seals with long lifetimes are install in the pump, which reduce the Life-Circle-Costs of the pump unit.
  • Heavy shaft and bearing bracket design of the pump type V-AN, support also the advantage of the long service time and reduce the Life-Circle-Cost, too.
  • The vertical dry installed design of the pump frames of the pumps required less floor space. Therefore, an installation in an existing system/plant with less space is possible.
