A new catalyst to synthesize ammonia from H2 and N2 even at 50�C

Tokyo Tech researchers developed new green catalyst for ammonia production. Ammonia (NH3) is synthesized globally for use in fertilizers that then enable food production for approximately 70 % of the world�s population. However, the current production process requires high energy powered by fossil fuels contributing global warming.
