An explosion occurred at the ammonia plant in xxx. Two workers were injured. The incident took place on Monday, at a quarter past seven in the evening. xxx spokeswoman xxx reported that an accident occurred during the start-up of a heater at the Ammonia Plant. xxx News determined that it was most likely an explosion of methane used to produce ammonia.

Two employees of the company were burned. The one in more serious condition was transported by helicopter to the hospital in xxx. The second employee had less severe burns, was treated on the spot and taken to the hospital in xxx.

The plant’s fire brigade was on site. The situation was brought under control at around 8:30 p.m. Initial inspections indicate that the installation was not damaged. The causes of the accident are currently being investigated.
