2024 Pamungkas Health Risk Profile in An Ammonia-Based Fertilizer Plant

Ammonia-based fertilizer plants are vital for global agriculture, producing essential nutrients but also posing health risks. In Indonesia, numerous studies have explored into the occupational health risks in fertilizer plants, particularly focusing on chemical and noise exposure, but there is still very limited research covering all categories of occupational health hazards. This study assesses occupational health risks associated with ammonia- based fertilizer production, including identifying hazards, analyzing potential worker exposures, and potential health impacts. The risk assessment carried out covers all categories of occupational health hazards, namely chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic and psychosocial hazards.
