2024 Azhar Sustainable Urea Production from Ammonia and Carbon Dioxide

The objective of this project is to design a feasibility study on sustainable urea production from ammonia and carbon dioxide. The ammonia is first produced from the Haber-Bosch process with raw materials supplied by Gentari – supplier of green hydrogen and Linde – supplier of nitrogen. The ammonia produced can reach up to 2600 MTPD while 100 MTPD is reserved for sales and the remaining is sent for urea production. The carbon dioxide is supplied by Iwatani-SIG and the process technology applied in the process originates from ACES21®, licensed by Toyo Engineering Corporation (TEC).
