2017 10 Rupture of HP drain valve (Incident 17-001)

The Urea Plant was put into operation in 2007 and the equipment has been used continuously for about 10 years. On May 1, 2017, when the urea unit was in service with high-capacity, a failure case occurred with one of the high pressure angle valves in the high pressure synthesis drain line, which was installed in 2007. It resulted in a great deal of damages, 5 days plant shut down and 4 people injured.
