A process for the preparation of urea in a urea synthesis according the carbon dioxide stripping process from which the top gas from the submerged condenser in said synthesis is subjected to a scrubber in said high-pressure synthesis zone. The vapour from the high-pressure stripper is divided to the high-pressure carbamate condenser and high-pressure reactor.
