This patent describes a urea process with a feature to further concentrate the carbamate stream going to the synthesis section, so recycling less water to the reactor. This is realized by introducing a washing column and medium pressure carbamate condenser operating at about 18 bars. Also the hydrolyser off gases are introduced in the medium pressure carbamate condenser.
