1980 Konoki TEC Mitsui 4231961 Urea Process

In a urea synthesis process, the reaction product from the reactor flows in serie through high pressure, medium pressure and low pressure decomposing and stripping devices to decompose the carbamate  and to reduce the water  content. CO2 gas is used in all three stages to improve the decomposition. The patent further claims that because the HP decomposer/stripper does not need to operate a such a high efficiency as other processes, the temperatures will be lower and less costly materials of construction can be applied.
